Just A Little About Me
I spent my early childhood years living in Seattle, Washington, and then my elementary, junior, and senior high school years living in Ogden, Utah. After graduating from high school in 1972, I entered active duty with the U.S. Army, and was off to see the world. When I was young, it seemed adventurous and a lot of fun most of the time!
After serving a little more than 20 years, I retired from the U.S. Army in 1995. I obtained my Bachelor of Science Degree in Liberal Arts (Sociology) in 1995 and began working for the federal government again. In 2014 I retired from civil service and decided that I could relax and do something else that I enjoyed....like wearing shorts instead of a suit and sleeping in whenever I wanted. Another bonus was shopping during the week instead of only on weekends. I really love the fairly constant sunshine and beaches that Florida offers so retirement here seemed like an easy choice!

With all the moves, travel, and adventure of the past behind me, I now have time to settle down and do something different. My website and Podcasts will hopefully focus on some of the challenges that we all face as seniors. My hope is that we can be a resource and compassionate support for one another. Remember, each of you matter and have an important voice that needs to be heard when it comes to your care and quality of life. Be kind to others but never shy away from sharing your concerns. As an individual or group, we are always our own best advocate!
At 70 years young, I believe I still have time and energy to lend a helping hand to my fellow senior citizens! I hope to talk with you soon about this next phase of our journey we call retired life! Until then, be kind to yourself, and be kind to those around you!
